Sharon A. came to HomeFront’s Family Preservation Center to rebuild her life after suffering four aneurysms which had left her anxious and unsure about her future. She had always been creative, and loved to paint, but she was hesitant about what she could do now. At ArtSpace Sharon was encouraged to start painting again, and the results have been powerful. “I am excited that I can paint again—I didn’t think I’d be able to. Now I’m in my element, my confidence is back, and I don’t feel like I have limits any more.” An outgoing, cheerful, encouraging presence in the studio, Sharon also comes to ArtSpace for quiet reflection. She feels deep connections to the community there that she knows will be lasting.
